With 13M albums sold and 18 No.1 singles, Tracy Lawrence has solidified his status as a cornerstone of Country music for more than 30 years. Stamping a bold exclamation point on his legacy with his 30th anniversary album, Hindsight 20/20, the legendary Texas Tornado now enters his excitingly fresh next chapter with his new EP Out Here In It.
Retaining his distinctive traditional flare while firmly planting a contemporary foot on generation now, Lawrence crafts the balance of these new tracks into a six-song definition of who he is today, pulling cuts from some of Nashville’s most elite songwriters including Rodney Clawson, Devin Dawson, Jacob Durrett, Trey Lewis, Wyatt McCubbin, Lee Thomas Miller, Ernest Keith Smith and more. While the infectious title track “Out Here In It” & the toe-tapping “Pretty Dang Good” both hold an aura of addictive positivity, the neon lit “I Could Use One” and “Gulf of Mexico” provide slow dance moments, walk alongside the dancehall ignition of “Honky Tonk Up” and the signature essence of the throwback style on “A Cowboy Would.”
Lawrence did a run with Riley Green on his Ain’t My Last Rodeo Tour in addition to selling out his first-ever headlining Ryman Auditorium show in Nashville this past May & a sold-out “Tracy Lawrence and Friends” headlining show at Ascend Amphitheater during CMA Fest. He joined Luke Bryan’s Mind Of A Country Boy Tour at Chicago’s famed Wrigley Field in August & spotlights main stages across the country at fairs, music halls and amphitheaters. Even as he continues to release music & tour, the CMA and ACM Award winner’s ambitions have also extended to numerous media and charity projects. In recent years, Lawrence has hosted the radio show “Honky Tonkin’ with Tracy Lawrence,” which currently airs in more than 170 markets. His interest in working with younger artists and being able to explore different topics led to the “TL’s Road House” podcast, which has featured guests such as HARDY, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson and more.
Lawrence also continues to uphold his commitment to helping those in need across Middle TN and beyond with his Mission:Possible non-profit committed to serving the homeless. From its humble beginnings cooking Thanksgiving dinners for the Nashville Rescue Mission to frying over 10K turkeys to date, the organization has raised more than $1M for those in need. In recognition of his philanthropic efforts, Lawrence was honored with the 2023 CRS Humanitarian Award.
