Food
You’re going to need to eat for your Wisconsin Dells weekend! Good thing there’s plenty of amazing restaurants within 10 minutes of Crystal Grand Music Theatre.
The Del Bar is one of the best supper clubs in the area! An excellent stop for their top tier happy hour, steak dinners, or an old fashioned. This amazing restaurant started in 1943 and has been a family business for 80 years. The staff of Crystal Grand constantly raves about how good the scallops and steaks are.
River’s Edge Pub and Grub has some of the best all American food in town! Seated beautifully on the Wisconsin River, this place is a must-go. They are one of the best rated restaurants in Wisconsin and have a 4,000 gallon fish tank! Make sure to try the BBQ Pork Ribs when you go.
Jose’s is the area’s favorite Mexican restaurant. Featuring massive margaritas, this place is great for large groups! They only use the freshest ingredients in their food and the staff is incredibly friendly. Carne Asada tacos are a fan favorite.
Lake City Social is a new restaurant in the area with a great menu! It’s also located within 5 minutes of the theatre, so it’s a great quick eat! They focus on fresh, and delicious comfort food with our own little added modern twist. Featuring burgers, ribs, pasta, seafood and steaks along with some unique, cravable appetizers. They are locally owned and operated and take great pride in our communities and the people we serve from both near and far.
Additional Activities:
Seeing a show at the Crystal Grand Music Theatre will be your highlight of your Wisconsin Dells weekend. However, most shows are at night, so what should you do during the day? You could just go to a water park, but you don’t always want to do that. Well, we have a couple ideas beside a water park that you can do.
First, you can visit the Wisconsin Deer Farm which is a mile from downtown. Guests flock to the Wisconsin Deer Park from mid-April through October to feed, pet, mingle or take photos with more than 100 animals, including three species of deer, elk, bison, goats, lemurs, llamas, emus and more. Plus, if you buy specialized feed, you can feed the deer!
You can ride the Wisconsin Ducks! This classic tour operator has been guiding folks around some of the top sightseeing spots in the Dells since 1946 in unique all-terrain vehicles. This type of amphibious six-wheeled truck was first invented during World War II with the code name “DUKW” – later simplified to “duck” – to transport troops and supplies, but today just transports tourists.
Looking for an outdoor activity? Visit Mirror State Park! This 2,200-acre oasis is known for its natural beauty and quiet surroundings. The park is an outdoors paradise with terrain for year-round activities from skiing and snowshoeing to hunting and hiking.
