Frank Martin Busch grew up on a farm outside the rural community of Cuba City, Wisconsin. He is the youngest of seven children in a musical family. Frank started playing music in gradeschool on saxophone and drums, he even playing a few shows with his fathers Big Band Orchestra. It wasn't until he left the small town for The University of Wisconsin and commondeered his college roommates Stratocaster, that he truly fell in love with music. Teaching himself to play, sing and write songs, Frank's journey has been slow, painful and deliberate. Upon graduating he founded his first band The Mighty Short Bus, and is a founding member of midwest troubadours WheelHouse. The two bands have released 8 records and played over 3,000 shows over the past 16 years The Names is Frank's first foray as a true solo artist. He has brought back the Stratocaster and is living and dying by his ability to play it, He marries the storytelling of a country songwriter with the musicality of a bluesman and a sense of humor that rivals your grade school best friends dad. Often telling jokes and citing references you don't get till the next day. The music is Americana, which is a polite way of saying it is country music without bedazzled jeans. Drawing its roots from Red Dirt Country rather than Nashville, it features solid rhythms, jangly guitars, honky tonk piano, harmonicas and even some steel guitars. Frank Martin Busch has won Isthmus Madison's Fave Singer/Songwriter for 2018 and 2019 and is WMMM Project M Songwriter competition season 3 winner. He is the father of 3 and has a dog named Floyd.
Scotty Tyce & Power Take Off (PTO) pulls together an eclectic mix of country, rock, and blues music from the rolling farm fields of southwestern Wisconsin. The positive, let’s have fun energy comes from familiar well-known Madison area musicians who started jamming together in 2019 and have since been joined by lead singer Scotty Tyce’s son, Ayden, as lead guitarist following in his dad’s Converse sneaks at just 15 years old. PTO promises to deliver an unusual mix of songs you may find familiar from decades of past setlists, but there will be guaranteed surprises from rocked-up Ronnie Milsap, Don Williams, Georgia Satellites, John Denver, and Bruce Springsteen, plus many more songs that will stick with you like hair spray from the 80s. The flip side of PTO is recording original music that is creative and catchy, with songs Keep Truckin’, Happy Anniversary, Cornfields at Midnight, and Yard Bull Blues that guarantees impromptu sing-alongs.
Elizabeth Mary wrote her first song, "I Have a Dream,” at age 10 and has been pursuing that dream ever since. Raised on a dairy farm in rural Iowa, Elizabeth Mary performed her first shows to herds of disinterested cattle and cornfields. Destined to become an entertainer, Elizabeth got her first taste of performing in local choirs and talent shows in her community. At age 22, Elizabeth Mary became lead singer for the local well-known, cover band, Zero 2 Sixty. Elizabeth earned a loyal fan base with her powerful vocals and energetic performances. Her eight-year run with Zero 2 Sixty helped refine her craft of performing and captivated audiences throughout the tri-state area at local venues and large festivals. “Everything you want is on the other side of fear.” A midnight toast on New Year’s Eve 2018 set Elizabeth Mary’s solo career in motion. The retirement of Zero 2 Sixty gave Elizabeth Mary the opportunity to revisit her years of songwriting. In April 2018, Elizabeth Mary recorded and released her six-track debut EP Album, “Dance with the Fear”. Her single, “Mirror, Mirror” was picked up by regional radio and began steaming nationwide. In September 2018, Elizabeth Mary opened for national country act Collin Raye, building her fan base as a solo artist. Building on that success, Elizabeth set out to record her new newest single in the fall of 2018. “Breathe in Girl”, released in October 2018, touched many listeners with its honest and vulnerable lyrics — “I hate to spoil the ending but you’re going to be ok.” Following the success of “Breathe in Girl”, Elizabeth Mary went right back to the studio to begin work on her full-length album. Her highly anticipated 14 track, all original album, “Meet Me in Madison” released in November 2019. Her lyrics reach farther than just the music. With a background in retail merchandise and design, she released a clothing line featuring her lyrics and positive messages from her music. Her apparel is featured online and in local boutiques. 2020 proved to be challenging year for many artists. Elizabeth turned a dark year for the music industry into a time to connect with fans across the country on another level. After the cancellation of over 100 shows, she decided to host a live virtual show via Facebook Live on Tuesday nights called “Sweatpants and Wine”. Her debut show reached over 36,000 viewers making local and regional news. Sweatpants and Wine continued into 2021 with over 50 episodes and won Silver in Best of Madison Virtual Performance of 2020 through Madison Magazine. After becoming a mom in early 2021, Elizabeth added author to resume turning her newest acoustic single, Share Your Shine into a children’s book. Elizabeth self published her book and has sold over 600 copies. Eager to get back out on the road, Elizabeth Mary and her band qualified to perform in the Hodag Country Music Festival in July 2021 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. The band took first place and won the competition earning the title of “2021 Wisconsin’s Best Country Band”. Elizabeth Mary, currently residing in Madison, Wisconsin, fills her schedule playing 120+ solo acoustic and full band shows annually in the tri-state area playing small venues to large music festivals. Whether playing solo or with the full band, Elizabeth will leave an impression on your heart and a smile on your face. Elizabeth Mary’s relatable lyrics and genuine personality will leave you wanting more.
